Game Summary: Winx Club: The Quest for the Codex lets players immerse themselves in the world of the hit animated series. Follow the girls as they interact with familiar characters and travel to magical far off lands. On their travels, players will be able to dance, fly and design new outfits for their characters in several fast-paced mini-games. The more they explore, players will unlock additional clothing and accessories that can be worn by their characters and also trade with friends wirelessly with the Nintendo DS!

Specifics: I wrote Techna's minigame, where you drag and drop circuitboard pieces into a grid so the electricity will flow from the starting point to the ending point. I also wrote Layla's dancing rhythm game and Musa's instrument playing minigame, both from a similar engine, but with a few features that made them feel a little unique, such as a spontaneous finger dancepad if you play well enough in Layla's game and tapping the notes in Musa's. I also did a lot of the game's menu work.

As this was Powerhead's first Nintendo DS game, the company's core libraries were sparse at this time, and much of what I wrote wound up expanding the most core parts of the core libraries, such as displaying background images, in ways that shaped how everyone at Powerhead Games developed Nintendo DS games since then.
